Dr Oz Remedies For Cold Sores, Butt Acne, Sweaty Feet, and More

Dr Oz says that aloe vera can be used as a remedy for excess sweating.

Most of us have physical problems that are embarrassing to talk about, even to your doctor.  Today, Dr. Oz talks about these embarrassing and household remedies that may help.  Some of the problems that he talked about on today’s show were about butt acne, cold sores, sweaty feet, and yes pubic hair that is turning gray.  Dr Oz opened up the phone lines, talked to people in public malls, and searched the internet looking for the most common (yet embarrassing) complaints concerning health related issues.  Dr Oz follows up this segment with natural remedies to help you sleep.

Butt Acne Problem and It’s Remedy

A woman spoke to Dr. Oz about an embarrassing problem that she has.  The back of her legs and her butt have acne..  Not only is this problem embarrassing for this woman, it was also sore and painful.  Dr Oz said that the acne on the back of her legs and butt was caused by inflammation in the body.   He said the best way to treat acne in this area of the body is same as if you would treat your face.  Try creams with Salicycle acid or benzoyl peroxide.  Wearing cotton underwear will also help.

Blemish Busting Recipe

Want to get rid of those blemished that are ruining your complexion?  Try this blemish busting recipe.

  • 1/4 cups of walnut
  • 1 cup of whole grain cerial
  • 2 mini melted chocolate bars
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal and nuts

Vaginal Discharge Remedy

A woman told Dr. Oz that she went to her doctor and was diagnosed with a yeast infection.  However, after the yeast infection was gone she still had a vaginal discharge.  Dr Oz said that this could be cause by several problems such as :

Bacterial Vaginosis -  A discharge that is caused by bacterial vaginosis will be milky white and have a fishy smell.  To treat this anti-biotics and Vitamin D are effective.

Yeast Infections – Over the counter medications , prescriptions, and yogurt are all effective against yeast infections.

Trichomoniasis – A vaginal discharge caused by Trichomoniasis will have a yellowish green foamy appearance.  This type of discharge can be transmitted sexually.  Antibiotics are used to treat this.

Tips To Prevent Vaginal Discharge :

  • Use unscented tampons
  • sleep without underwear
  • Choose cotton panties to wear during the day

Cold Sore Remedy – Lysine

A woman told Dr Oz that she get’s cold sores every other month.  This is a problem that I occasionally have as well. She said that a couple days before a cold sore would appear she would get a tingling sensation in the area. Dr Oz had two suggestions for her. Abreva and lysine supplements.  I hadn’t heart of Abreva but I’ve tried lysine supplements and yes they really do work. I’ve noticed the duration of the cold sores are greatly reduced when I take lysine at the first onset of getting a cold sore.  Take 1000 milligrams a day of lysine to reduce cold sore duration time.

Rumbling Stomach Remedy

Has your belly ever made loud rumbling noises whenever you weren’t even hungry?  A woman told Dr Oz about her rumblin stomach problem.  He applied a stethoscope to her stomach to listen to the sounds.  You definitely could hear the “rumbles” for sure!  I’ve had this problem  occasionally so I was looking forward to hear what he had to say!

Stomach Rumbling Triggers :

  • Lactose
  • Fat
  • Gluten

Try snacking on a cup of hazelnuts.  It’s a good source of fiber and healthy fats.

Natural Remedies For Excessive Sweating

Witch Hazel For Face – Witch hazel acts like an astringent when applied with a cotton ball.

For Underarms

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of alo vera and 4 drops of tea tree oil

Sweaty Feet Natural Remedy

I had a roommate that had this problem.  Sure which I knew of this remedy back then!  Combine the juice of 2 lemons and 1/2 cup of baking soda.  Apply this mixture on to the feet.  The lemon will take away the food odor while the baking soda will absorb moisture.
