Cravings and Bad Habit Remedies For Alcohol, Salt, Butter and Caffeine
We all have bad habits to some degree. On today’s show Dr. Oz shared a remedy for 4 of the most common cravings and bad habits that people have.
I just so happen to enjoy all four of the “bad habits” that Dr. Oz talked about, so these simple remedies should come in handy. I’m especially excited to try the Teeccino remedy for caffeine. Caffeine doesn’t seem to give me the energy that it used to and some of the side effects are starting to outweigh the benefits (at least in my case). Below are the craving and bad habit fixes that Dr Oz talked about on today’s show.
Addicted To Caffeine? Try Teeccino
Dr Oz talked to a woman out of the audience that I could totally relate to. Her name was Becky and she drinks coffee all day long. However, in the afternoons Becky (just like me) has a caffeine crash. Coffee also gives her an upset stomach at times.
Dr Oz has quick fix solution for caffeine cravings (or in my case addiction). Teeccino is made up of herbs and grains. It can also boost your metabolism. It will energize you but without that dreaded caffeine crash in the afternoon. You don’t have to give up your coffee altogether either! Dr Oz suggested alternating between Teeccino and coffee during the course of the day. You can cut your caffeine consumption dramatically and still have the energy that you desire. Considering that I had never heard of this product I searched around on the internet and found out where you can Buy Teecino with very good customer review ratings (4 1/2 stars out of 5). It’s quite affordable and I am excited to see if this really helps me scale back my caffeine intake!
Sour Salt Remedy For Salt Cravings
I love salt but I’m usually able to substitute with herbs and spices. However, I still get cravings so the sour salt remedy should still come in handy.
Dr Oz talked to a woman who had such intense salt cravings that it would wake her up in the middle of the night. Dr. Oz suggested sour salt (I had never heard of this). He said that it will reduce your cravings for sodium. It contains citrus acids from oranges and limes. It has a tangy taste that helps to enhance flavors in much the same way that salt does. Try sprinkling sour salt on your meals as an alternative. Looking forward to trying this
She loved salt so much that her cravings woke her up in the middle of the night.
Solution: Sour salt can help curb your cravings. It contains citrus acids from fruits like oranges and lime, and has a tangy taste that brings out flavors the way salt does. Stick it in the saltshaker and sprinkle onto your dishes.
Organic Spread Instead of Butter
Here is yet another weakness of mine. A roll without butter just seems to be lacking….well butter! Dr Oz suggests a healthier alternative, called organic spread. Organic spread contains flaxseed and canola oils. Spread it on your rolls, or toast in the same way that you would butter. Has anybody tried organic spread? I would love to hear some reviews on this product! Please leave a comment at the bottom of the page if you have anything that you can share.
Lavender Bellini Recipe To Stop Alcohol Cravings
Dr. Oz talked to a woman who said that she loves wine. He said that wine when consumed in moderation is healthy for you. I’m guessing that 1 glass doesn’t mean 1 whole glass bottle! To help curb your alcohol cravings try this remedy
Lavender Bellini Alcohol Cravings Recipe :
- 1/4 cup of chilled sparkling apple cider
- 1/4 cup of peach nectar
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- Sprig of lavender
- 1 drop of lavender essential oil
Seems like a simple enough recipe, but where do you get a sprig of lavender? Anybody know?
